June 23rd, 2018

I traveled to Lock Haven for Brandon and Laura’s wedding on a muggy June morning. Despite calls for severe thunderstorms all afternoon, the skies were cooperative and we were able to shoot literally everything we had planned. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a wedding as much as I enjoyed walking these two through Lock Haven’s campus and shooting in my favorite small town in the world.

October 28th, 2017 –

Today I shot a double-header in Allaire State park. This was the absolute last day we were going to get these great, colorful leaves before a deluge of rain later in the week, so I met Adam and Gabby at 9 am so we’d have good light. The weather was gorgeous, and we moved briskly through the park, hitting every nice spot in just under an hour.

Up next were the Voskian family, who I’ve been shooting for just under three years. You know it was a gorgeous day based on the dozens of other photographers out, but we were able to find enough spots clear from crowds. The older the kids get, the easier my job is, as they were easy to work with and happy to have their pictures taken. Another year, another beautiful set of family lifestyle portraits.

October 24th, 2017 –

I pumped the brakes a bit on Halloween photos this year, but I couldn’t help myself but offer a free photoshoot to any family willing to get dressed up in costumes and meet me at a cool location. Luckily the Ronans contacting me a few days before Halloween and we were able to set one up. Their son, Ryan, is obsessed with Peter Pan, so we met at the Manasquan Reservoir to get some portraits in full Peter Pan garb.  I was nervous about trying to get a shot with not only two children, but a dog as well. But it was a walk in the park. I did have to bark at the dog once or twice to get his attention, but he was a good boy and looked right at the camera.

October 14th, 2017 –

I met the Stradas at Cattus Island for some holiday photos featuring the two sisters. It was the perfect time of the year to make use of the various trails and walkways throughout the park, and we got some beautiful photos for this year’s Christmas card.

September 23rd, 2017 –

I was so pleased when my good friends, the Valenciks, asked me to shoot their wedding. As much as I love attending my friends’ weddings, I think I love shooting them more. Ryan, Brittany, and their families were great clients, and we had the perfect day for a wedding at the Stone Mill Inn in Hallam, PA.

September 17th, 2017 –

I was delighted to meet the lovely Paranita family and shoot some portraits for them on a Sunday evening at the Plainsboro Preservation. We made use of the beautiful setting sun and got some great photos near the water and on the trails. I can’t wait to shoot for them again in the future as their son gets older.

September 16th, 2017 – To celebrate their one-year-anniversary, Jay and Beth got up at the crack of dawn and accompanied me to Seaside Heights for a sunrise photoshoot. Despite an unfortunate amount of fog, we utilized the waves and a flock of seagulls to our advantage. They took a small tumble out on the rocks, but it was definitely worth it for the great shots we were able to get of them surrounded by the waves.

August 28th, 2017 – We have known Alanah and Bill since we shot their wedding a few years ago. Since then, it’s been great to continue documenting their lives as their family begins to grow. They now have a 1.5 year old named Hudson who had no problem getting up before sunrise to do a beach photoshoot. Meeting at the same beach as their wedding was located, we were lucky that the water was warm and the wind was calm at low tide. We met at 6 am and ran to all corners of the beach. Not only was it a ton of fun chasing Hudson through the waves, but I also got to recreate a few of Alanah and Bill’s wedding photos.

August 20th, 2017 – I met the lovely Gioe family at a small beach in Pine Beach for a one hour shoot. The kids spent the morning running around the beach while I jumped in and out of the river up to my waist to get some nice photos of them playing in the sand.

August 10th, 2017 – You can do a beach photoshoot anytime, but there’s nothing quite like waking up at 5am to catch the sunrise. With six weeks left before the arrival of our second child, Caroline and I headed to Lavallette beach for a sunrise maternity shoot. Though I brought my off-camera flash stand, I opted to shoot mostly without it and utilize the golden hue of the sunlight. Given that we both walked away soaking wet from the waist down, we were lucky to have low tide, warm weather, and clear skies.

May 28th, 2019 –

May 6th, 2017 – I was happy to photograph Sophia’s 1st Holy Communion, as I have known her since she was about two years old. I had a great seat right in the aisle, so I was able to use my 70-200 to get some great shots of her at the alter. Despite the windy weather, we took some family photos outside afterward.

December 20th, 2016 – Caroline and I arrived at Renalt Winery on a chilly day in December to shoot Joe and Meghan’s winter wedding. These two were a great couple to work with, very laid back and happy to try anything we could come up with. We kept the outside exposure to a minimum due to the cold weather and harsh wind, but we were able to duck out for some nice shots on the golf course. Luckily, the winery has a lot of beautiful, historic sections where we were able to set up off-camera lighting and back-light the newly married couple. The reception was a blast and the dance floor was packed. This was definitely one of the most enjoyable weddings we’ve attended.

October 11th, 2016 – With Hudson’s first birthday around the corner, we headed to Allaire State Park for a 45-minute mini-session. In that time, we hit every corner of the park. We started by giving him some balloons while I shot with a wide-angle lens from a distance. He’s just starting to pull himself up and walk a bit, so I popped on my Sigma 50mm and got some nice photos of him on various fences and barrels. I did more rolling on the ground than usual, but that comes with the territory when photographing an 11-month old.

January 12, 2016 – I’ve been photographing for Dominic’s family since his Christening, and it’s been amazing watching him grow. For this shoot, I traveled to his home with my portable portrait studio. His first birthday was a few weeks away, and his mom needed a photo for the invitation. Mirroring his dad’s love for football and wearing his grandfather’s San Francisco 49er’s hat, we got a bunch of great shots in a variety of poses.
